Leela Green is an educator from the United States with over 15 years of experience in working with academic, corporate, government and private agencies. She earned her Master’s degree in Education from Stanford University, where her research focused on the impact of intercultural bias on assessment and promotion practices. Her professional expertise includes the areas of DEI (Diversity, Equality & Inclusion) and International Communications. In working with a range of multinational organizations, Leela has trained, led and hired staff from more than 35 different countries. Leela and her husband first came to China in 1993 as visiting instructors at universities. In 2000, they returned with their two sons. Leela’s work has taken her to 40 cities throughout the country. In addition to many awards received for training and communications excellence, Leela feels particularly honored to have received the Friendship Award twice by the China government: in 2003 and again in 2014. Her avid interest in east-west intercultural communications continues to be a driving force in Leela’s personal and professional endeavours. She currently lives in Shanghai.
